Only 50 Spaces Available During Our Spring 2026 Intake
Depth is the antidote to desperation.
That’s the central thesis of my work.
It’s no secret that we are entering into very difficult economic times: fuel and food prices rising, interest rates skyrocketing, and economic uncertainty at an all time high.
In the membership we get, mostly, coaches and healers; service providers largely. We get our share of somatic practitioners, therapists, workshop leaders, business advisors, yoga instructors, ritualists and ceremonialists, and the occasional crafter and artist, and god knows I love working with permaculture folks and farmers when I get the chance.
Can businesses like this work in the kind of economic climate we see today?
In truth, I don’t know how well your business will do or if it will make it. What I do know is this: if you lack the proper foundations it won’t make it. That’s a promise you can take to the bank.
If you have your foundations set up right, then there’s a fighting chance.
That’s what this membership is about: building the house of your business strong enough to survive (and maybe even thrive) when the marketplace seems to be falling apart.
There’s so much more noise in the world right now. There’s so much static like that space between radio stations. The secret is not to try to compete in volume but in clearer signal. With the growth of AI there will be even more noise and more static a year from now.
And that’s an incredible opportunity for those who do the deep work to hone their signal so that it speaks clearly and directly to the people you want to speak to.
Depth is the antidote to desperation.
So…
What is this membership?
It is a strange mix of a program, a university course, and a membership.
You will find self-paced courses that help you lay solid foundations for your marketing.
You will find a down-to-earth, grassroots, and long-term approach to ethical marketing that is consent-based, trauma-informed, and conscience driven. It’s the kind of marketing that produces results, while being easy on your jangled nervous system, and letting you sleep at night.
And you will find that, unlike many memberships, real rigour, depth, discipline, and active participation are asked of you.
You will find a deeper level of strategy rooted in seven core, time-tested fundamentals, not simply a collection of tactics.
You’ll find plenty of recipes here but you’ll also be learning how to cook.
The membership has two tiers to it:
Basics Tier (for $7 USD/month + applicable taxes): This is great for you if you're curious about my work, want to dip your toe in, and learn some of the most immediately practical approaches I have + explore some of the inner work issues that might be keeping you stuck. This level has no group calls or one-on-one support.
Fundamentals Tier ($2000 USD + applicable taxes, when you buy annually): This tier (laid out below) is great for you if you already know you resonate with my approach and you want a lot of support to translate it into your business. This level is sequentially structured and well-designed, and it includes a weekly call with me (sometimes two a week), self-paced courses, plus a lot of other support to help you implement this instead of just understanding it. We'll explain more about that in a minute…
If you're confident that we're a fit for working together already, click the button below to see the Fundamentals Tier details to find out what's inside the Membership.
If you're not sure, read on, make sure this resonates first.
Who Is It For?
It’s for ‘hippy entrepreneur’ types. Mostly that seems to mean coaches and healers; service providers largely.
We get our share of somatic practitioners, therapists, workshop leaders, business advisors, yoga instructors, ritualists and ceremonialists, and the occasional crafter and artist, and god knows I love working with permaculture folks and farmers when I get the chance.
Note: If you haven’t already, you can read more about why I think it’s so hard for us to market ethically.
If you’re reading this, then my guess is that you’re already somewhat familiar with my work. You are likely on my email list and may have been following me on social media for years now (even if it's mostly for the memes). I'd be willing to bet you've already dug into my Ethical Marketing Starter Kit. Maybe you’ve even been to a few workshops or webinars with me.
A Few Guesses About What's Going On For You:
YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT WORKS ANYMORE (OR IF ANYTHING WILL WORK FOR YOU): Perhaps the ways you’ve done marketing in the past have stopped working in these uncertain times and unstable economy, and you’re wondering what will work now. Now, when distrust is everywhere. And if you’ve been following traditional marketing methods, you’re likely curious about what “ethical” or values-aligned marketing even looks like - and if it actually works. You've likely tried several marketing methods in the past, with programs, courses, and pdfs piling up in your cloud storage (or in the file drawer of your desk). You’ve looked into ads, funnels, mini-offers, deals, and discounts. You’ve become disillusioned, discouraged, and depressed, and you've distracted yourself from all of that by playing on Canva and calling it work. But this has only deepened the growing desperation. As one member wrote, "I find myself putting in a huge amount of time and emotional energy for very small returns, which has been wearing me down over the past year. I’m here because I care deeply about this work and the people it serves, but I’m feeling stuck, discouraged, and unsure how to grow in a way that feels aligned and financially viable. Can this even work for me? Is it possible to make a business like this work?"
YOU'RE STRUGGLING WITH YOUR NICHE: "Who do I serve? Why is niching so hard? Do I need a niche? Really? What makes me and my work unique? How do I talk about it without jargon or vagueness?" There's a good chance you are multi-passionate or transitioning from one focus to another, making it hard to narrow in. You might fear being "too specific" or leaving people out. You might even have outright doubt in whether you should even be in business, due to your lack of niche clarity. You feel too "in your head" and not sure how to write copy or describe your offer. You're stuck in a loop of word smithing, and not publishing or promoting because it doesn't feel quite right, but you're not sure what to change to get it there.
YOU FEEL RESISTANCE AROUND VISIBILITY: You feel awkward or inauthentic promoting yourself. You have a strong resistance to being seen (linked to past trauma, burnout, or identity shifts). You fear judgment, feel uneasy charging for your work and receiving money. You've got a general tendency to hide, over-give, or undercharge.
YOU HATE SOCIAL MEDIA (BUT FEEL LIKE YOU NEED TO USE IT): 'Nuf said. Ugh.
YOU FEEL GENERALLY SCATTERED AND OVERWHELMED WITH MARKETING: "Where do I start? Oh God. There's so much to do." You may be managing too many offers, ideas, or modalities. You feel like your business is a puzzle without the picture on the box to guide you. You know you're lacking a simple client journey or structured ecosystem and you're unsure what to do first, or how to organize your time effectively.
YOU STRUGGLE WITH DISCIPLINE: Even when you know what to do, it's hard to get yourself to do it. Sitting alone in your office, or at your dining table, staring at your screen makes the tasks of solopreneurship feel daunting.
YOU'VE BEEN BURNED BY MARKETING COACHES BEFORE: It's not inconceivable that you've spent a lot of money with marketing coaches where it felt like you were flushing that money down the toilet; an utter waste. It might be that, looking back, you can see that following their advice made you stray from your magic in order to fit inside their shitty templates. Ugh.
YOU'RE LOSING BUSINESS TO YOUNGER, LESS EXPERIENCED COACHES & HEALERS: As one colleague wrote, "As someone who has been coaching/mentoring for nearly 40 years, my experience counts for nothing amongst the noise of a billion less experienced coaches. Fed up with the noise, fakery, hype, and lack of transparency (especially from those who say they are being transparent)." You're better but they're younger, hotter, and better at social media and marketing than you ever want to be. You're realizing that the most successful coaches aren't actually the best coaches. They're just the best marketers. And that means people are getting hurt out there by these 'coaches'. Ugh.
YOU'RE DISILLUSIONED WITH MUCH OF THE CONSCIOUS BUSINESS SCENE: Dear God. The holistic world has become just as bad as the mainstream medicine world in their marketing. They're selling beef tallow skin care with sex. What? So much hype and pressure. So many lies. And the coaching scene isn't much better. So many shady sales tactics of hitting pain points and then trapping people in coaching contracts they can't get out of, and much of it begins to feel like a pyramid scheme of coaches coaching coaches to coach coaches who coach coaches. "You too can prey on the desperate!" they seem to be saying. Or that the only way to make any real money is by being a business coach of some kind.
YOU'RE CRAVING A SIMPLE AND SUSTAINABLE PATH: You want to find or craft an approach to growing your business that is clear and simple that honours both my values and your need to make a living.
How am I doing so far?
I’ll Hazard Even More Guesses…
YOU’VE GOT A DEEP FEELING THAT "THIS IS MY YEAR": You’ve been working on this business for a while now but something in you is telling you that this is the year to really go for it. No more messing around. Even in this economy. Even in these uncertain times. Because you know what you offer is needed, especially now.
YOU’RE LIKELY SUSPICIOUS OF AI: Even if you use it some, you want your marketing and business to remain human in this increasingly synthetic, blue screen lit, virtualized world.
YOU FEEL DEEPLY UNCERTAIN ABOUT THE STATE OF THE WORLD: You have the nagging sense that we've only just started up the exponential curve of how weird and hard things are going to get. You feel yourself holding your breath and waiting for the other shoe to drop.
YOU LIKE THE IDEA OF GETTING MORE WORD-OF-MOUTH: You want to market your beautiful work beautifully, and in a way that makes the world better with connections, community, and humanity.
YOU LIKE THE IDEA OF NOT HAVING TO USE INAUTHENTIC SCRIPTS: You don’t want many or any scripts, or high-pressure pitching, or inauthentic self-promotion.
THERE'S A GOOD CHANCE YOU'RE NOT MAKING MUCH MONEY IN YOUR BUSINESS RIGHT NOW: When we surveyed our members last year, here's what we discovered - when they joined the membership, most were making less than $20K per year.

It's sobering.
Why are so many coaches and healers struggling?
I'd submit it's because they don't have the Fundamentals in place that they need.
I say there are Seven Fundamentals that matter most (pictured below).

You can learn more about these here or in my Ethical Marketing Starter Kit.
YOU ARE AN ETHICAL SERVICE PROVIDER: The membership is primarily focused on service providers (usually coaches and healers).
MY CONTENT RESONATES WITH YOU: If you’ve followed my work for a while and it feels like home to you, that’s a good sign.
YOU ARE IN IT FOR THE LONGTERM: You want a profitable business for at least another decade. This is a big one. If you’re okay with having an expensive hobby, this membership isn’t for you. If you want it to be a business, then it is.
A YEAR OF FOCUS ON YOUR FUNDAMENTALS FEELS EXCITING: If giving yourself a year to go deep into the fundamentals of your business makes sense to you and it lights you up to think of how good it would feel to have solid foundations in place, welcome aboard! This is a year to steep deeply in ‘ethical marketing’, create the space your business needs to thrive, hone your niche, articulate a compelling point of view, craft a solid business model, identify and connect with more hubs for your business, and find sustainable and effective ways to share your business with those who need it most.
YOU ARE WILLING TO GIVE IT THE TIME: If you are willing to spend at least 5 hours/week working on this content, then it’s a good fit. Five hours a week of pulling back the bow of your business and aiming well to send the arrow of your work further will get you incredible results. In my membership, I treat marketing like others treat yoga or meditation: as a practice worthy of devoted effort and attention. You’re the kind of person who will consistently show up prepared to live calls with the exact question you want me to answer.
YOU'VE GOT A HISTORY OF USING MEMBERSHIPS & SUPPORT WELL: If you've been a part of other memberships, self-paced programs and group coaching programs and have used them well, this could be a fit. Specifically, this looks like showing up to calls consistently and being there early to make sure your question (which you've pre-written) gets answered. It looks like you having gotten yourself the support you needed to work through the materials and that you asked for help when you needed it. This looks like printing off worksheets and working through them at your favourite local cafe. If you've got a history of doing that, this might be a great fit.
THE PRICE ≠ A HARDSHIP: If the price of the Fundamentals tier of my membership would cause you panic attacks or anxiety, then please enjoy our free content and come back later when you’ve got more financial space. Or you may choose to start with our Basics Tier. We intentionally created the Basics tier at a more accessible price with The Breathing Room course so that you can plug the time and money drains in your business and use ethical cashflow tactics to earn enough to comfortably afford the Fundamentals Tier.
YOU KNOW YOU NEED SOME EXTERNAL PERSPECTIVE: Sometimes we’re too close to the forest to see the trees. In this membership, you’ll find yourself rubbing elbows with kindred spirits (many of whom are already years or decades into their entrepreneurial journey) in zoom rooms, getting feedback on your marketing materials, and having a chance to be coached directly by myself (and the occasional guest teacher who may fill in for me).
SELF-PACED COURSES WORK WELL FOR YOU: You’re the kind of person who wants to be able to go at their own pace and doesn’t like being either held back or rushed ahead by the group. You like to do things on your own time and in your own way and don’t need to be led through the content live on a call.
ARE CRAVING DEPTH & SLOWNESS: You resonate with my saying that 'depth is the antidote to desperation'. You sense that one of the reasons that past approaches haven't worked for you is that you didn't dig deep enough into the big questions underpinning your business, and if you did, it might change everything. You're drawn to ethical marketing not just as a buzz phrase but as a deep practice. You resonate with Bayo Akomolafe's words: "The Times Are Urgent: Let's Slow Down."
ARE DONE FLYING SOLO: You’ve outgrown the lone-wolf, “I can figure this out on my own” stage and are realizing how much you need some guidance, structure, and mentorship in your marketing. Even better if the idea of connecting with like-minded entrepreneurs is exciting for you (we strongly encourage members to form ‘pods’ of 4-6 folks to support each other in their journey).
WANT TO SHOOT ONE TRUE ARROW: You're exhausted from spending a career shooting arrows all over the place and now you want to take time to slow down, pull back your bow, aim and shoot one true arrow right at the bullseye of your businesses most authentic expression and success.
YOU WANT TO MARKET LOCALLY TOO: If you're drawn to doing live, in-person, local workshops or tours, this is an area I love to help clients with. So much marketing has become digital but there are ways to share our work in our own communities that are just as effective (if not more so).
FEEL POLITICALLY HOMELESS: Maybe you used to feel strongly one way or the other and now you’re mostly praying for sanity. You resonate with what I've written here.
ARE DEEPLY CONCERNED ABOUT AI: You look at the speed and effectiveness of AI and it gives you chills for reasons you can't explain (even if you use it). You're deeply worried about what might become of it and us as the freight train of modernity and progress keeps.
ARE DRAWN TO TRADITIONAL, ANCESTRAL VALUES: You value respect, space, humility, wisdom, craft, reciprocity and eloquence. You value what is truly human and real. You yearn for community and seek to, at least, practice village mindedness in the absence of the village. You resonate with the notion of restoring the beauty of the marketplace.
SUPPORT LOCAL & HANDMADE: You love handmade things and support crafters when you can and are drawn to traditional skills, homesteading, and people growing their own food. You support local farmers whenever you can.
SUPPORT INDIGENOUS PEOPLE: You’re passionate about supporting indigenous peoples and are drawn to indigenous and ancestral cultures (particularly your own), poetry, mythology, folklore, and culture work.
LOVE THE TARDIS: You’re a fan of Doctor Who (and can name at least three actors who played them).
ARE A HIPPY: And you’ve got at least one, solid piece of hippy cred to prove it.
If all of this has something jumping up inside of you and urging you to keep going, I hope you’ll consider joining us in this online “Feel Good Marketing Fellowship,” this raggedy, motley crew of wayward entrepreneurs, this Hippy Marketing Club, this Coalition of Creatives, this Community of Conscious Entrepreneurs, this League of Life Coaches, this Haven of Healers and Hippie Business Owners, this Slow Marketing Society.
Does this sound like you?
DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU WANT TO DO WITH YOUR LIFE. If that’s you I suggest you start with Alex’s Baisley’s work, no one does a better job of helping people figure out what they want to do.
ARE LOOKING FOR DEEP SPIRITUAL AND MINDSET MENTORING. Dear God. It's so important. Mark Silver does fantastic work in bringing spirituality to marketing. Betty Cottam Bertels does amazing work on mindset. I have things to say on these matters but it's not my area of focus. If this is of central importance to you this might not be the best fit.
ARE ABSOLUTELY DROWNING IN OVERWHELM (e.g. new kids, elderly parents needing care, full-time job, major health issues etc.) One of the most common reasons we get for people leaving the membership is: "Not Enough Time / Too Busy." Maybe it's a demanding 9–5 schedule, or caring for young children or elderly parents. It's important to be realistic about your capacity. If you are overwhelmed, the wealth of materials and the platform itself will likely feel overwhelming to you. But it's likely not the membership that's overwhelming. It's likely your life. This membership takes time. It invites rigorous work. This is not a place to come if you're looking for short-cuts (though we've streamlined things as much as possible). You should expect to spend at least five hours a week on this.
AREN'T WILLING TO REALLY FOCUS FOR THE YEAR. My guess is that you believe that if you could get your BUSINESS together then your whole life would be better. You’re seeing your business success as a key lever. If that's true then give it a year. You've likely got to let some other things suffer for the year. And they will suffer. And it’s sad. Let’s not pretend it isn’t. It means saying ‘no’ to some things to fully unleash yourself for your business. We can't do everything. God knows I've tried.
ARE IN OTHER BUSINESS PROGRAMS OR MEMBERSHIPS. My invitation is to only do this membership for a year. Really focus. It's rigorous. It will ask a lot of you. If you are too divided in your attention, you may not get the most out of this. Let us give you one, focused year of this.
ARE WANTING A LOT OF TECHNICAL AND TACTICAL HELP ON SPECIFIC TOOLS: I know almost nothing about tech and my specialty is on the fundamentals not the latest, trendy tactics (which I admire and envy but am not much use in).
ARE A FUNDAMENTALIST OR SUPREMACIST of any kind and need other people to share your worldview and political analysis to feel ok in the space.
(An abridged version) Once upon a time, there were three little pigs. Each one decided to build a house.
The first one built his house out of straw. The straw was cheap and easy to come by and building his house took no time at all.
The second, built it out of sticks. It was harder to build, requiring tools and more time.

The third, built his house out of bricks. His house took the longest to build and took the most time, each brick needing to be made from clay and straw and left to bake in the sun and mortar needing to be gathered and laid between each brick.
The first pig thought he was the smartest of them all and laughed at the other two, particularly the third for all of the unnecessary work while he lounged around in the sun.
Ah.
But then came the Big Bad Wolf to the house of the first pig in his straw house. And he huffed and he puffed and he blew the house down. The first pig, barely escaping with his life, ran to the second pig's house. But the Big Bad Wolf followed and he huffed, and he puffed and he blew the stick house down too. They both ran to the third pig's brick house.
The Big Bad Wolf followed and he huffed and he puffed but he could not, try as he might, blow the house down. He tried again and again until he was so out of breath that he couldn't huff and he couldn't puff anymore. So he stopped to rest and thought a bit.
But this was too much. The wolf danced about with rage and swore he would come down the chimney and eat up the little pig for his supper. But while he was climbing on top of the roof, the little pig made a blazing fire and put on a big pot full of water to boil. Then, just as the wolf was coming down the chimney, the little piggy pulled off the lid, and plop! In fell the wolf into the scalding water.
So the little piggy put on the cover again, boiled the wolf up, and the three little pigs ate him for supper.
The Lesson:
The Big Bad Wolf of hard times is here. Believe it. If you treat your business like a hobby, then it will be a house of straw and collapse easily under the howling winds of change. If you go half heartedly into making it work, that's a stick house. A stick house is more work, but it will last longer. This membership is about helping you to build a brick house, brick by brick, to keep not only yourself safe in uncertain, troubled, and troubling times, but those you love most dearly. If you do, the troubled times might yet become food for you and those you love, rather than a threat. The hardships you overcome might yet become the wisdom you can use and pass on.
Which Tier of the Membership Is For You?
You Get Access To The Following Courses:
FUNDAMENTALS TIER Coming This Spring!
While these are subject to change, here is the basic outline as it stands:
LIVE COACHING WITH TAD: (Mondays at 8:00am - 9:30am PST): Bring your toughest questions and places you’re stuck in your business and drop it in the chat and I’ll give you my best advice on the matter.
LIVE COACHING WITH TAD: (First Monday of Every Month from 5:00pm - 6:00pm PST): We will be trialing this time for those in other time zones for the first few months and, if there’s a strong enough response, we’ll continue.
CAVERN SESSIONS: Several times a month, you’ll have the opportunity to dig into one of the fundamentals in a two-hour, focused session led by MfH Facilitators and/or subject experts who will use their knowledge to steer the group. It will be a chance to get things done with the encouragement of your peers. Note: Tad will not be present for these co-working calls. Also, we occasionally have “Pop-Up Caverns”, which are co-working or Q&A style calls on topics we’ve curated that are applicable to marketing but are not directly related to one of the fundamentals.
TRAIL TALKS: These are usually on Friday mornings. No screens. Type your question in the chat and I’ll do my best to answer as I go for a walk on a nearby trail. These calls aren't regularly scheduled or guaranteed. But I offer them as a semi-regular bonus to make sure you
Here's a sample of what the flow of the regular Live Calls will be:
To help you stay on track and get the most out of the membership, we go out of our way to make it easy for members to form pods with each other.
What is a pod?
It’s a group of 4-6 other members who you resonate with.
You might decide to:
All go through a course together.
All do your own courses but meet once a week via zoom to encourage each other and offer feedback where needed.
Create a chat thread in WhatsApp where you keep each other posted with photos, texts, videos and voice notes.
Whatever works for you and your pod.
One of the ways we support you in getting the most from the membership at this tier is helping you to find the other members for your ‘pod’.
Note: While we help you to create a pod, the rest is up to your and your pod to self-direct: we won't be managing your pod, you will.
All of the courses in our membership are self-paced. You can do them at your own time and in your own way.
Most of the courses focus on one of the Fundamentals.
Each course is divided into easy to do, simple to follow, bite-sized, practical steps towards a clear outcome so you never need to feel overwhelmed. You’ll just take it step by step.
Each course includes its own workbook that you can print off. Each one is designed to guide you through the content away from the glare of the blue screen. You can watch some videos and then go to a cafe somewhere and dig into the content with good old fashioned pen and paper. One of my commitments is to set this membership up to, as much as possible, minimize screen time. These workbooks are central to that.
Each course contains the following:
TEACHING VIDEO: Each module begins with a video from myself laying out the core ideas and work involved in that particular step. These videos are normally between 5-10 minutes long.
KEY LEARNING POINTS: The video will be summarized into the most important ‘take-away’ nuggets to help focus and anchor in your learning.
YOUR ACTIONS FOR TODAY: You’ll be given some very practical homework to do (usually 10-20 minutes worth) to implement what you’ve just learned into your business.
POD EXERCISE: You’ll also receive prompts on how to engage with your pod mates about your work that day and give suggestions on how they could best help you with translating those ideas into your business.
BONUS CONTENT: When it’s available, you’ll also get links to Playlists and Articles with relevant content that can help you go deeper into the work of that particular module.
PRINTABLE WORKBOOKS: Each course will come with a hefty workbook you can get printed off at your local print shop (we suggest coil bound, black and white, double-sided with cardstock covers and the front cover in colour). I’ve designed these courses so that you can do most of the work for them off-line. Each workbook is full of questions + the space to answer them so that all of your work stays in one workbook. And the workbooks let you do your work away from the glare of these infernal blue-light machines. Take them to your favourite cafe or park. Go through them with a pen. Write it out. Sit on the Earth while you do it if you can. It’s good for you. Type it out later.
Another great feature is that our system automatically keeps track of what content you’ve completed. So you don’t need to worry if you lose track of where you are. When you log back in, the system will remember for you. When you finish a module, you can mark it done. When you finish a course, you can mark it done, and get yourself a badge of honour for your labours, plus you’ll have a tangible result from having done it (e.g. having created a My Philosophy page on your website).
The Basics Tier
Goal Of The Basics Tier: You get grounded deeper into the Marketing for Hippies philosophy and create the space and clarity you need to generate $2000 USD for your business in 90 days.

Marketing for Hippies 101
What This Course Is About: Go deeper into the principles, fundamentals, and philosophical framework of ethical marketing (that I also cover in the Ethical Marketing Starter Kit). I've been paid $500 USD for this day-long workshop in the past. I toured it around the world.
By The End, You’ll Be Able To:
Identify why, at a high level, so much marketing feels gross.
Identify where, precisely, you’ve been stuck in your marketing.
Help your colleagues get unstuck in their own marketing so they can, ethically, get more clients.
Articulate the principles behind generating clients in ways that feel good but also work
This course has received rave reviews from people over the years:
"By FAR the best content I’ve ever watched. I totally feel the weird pressure off of me and ideas are pouring in."
"I've learned and understood more about marketing in the six videos I've watched, than I have done in years."
"I learned more practical and useful marketing strategies in Tad’s one day workshop than I did in my five year university business degree. I have made more progress than with $10k business coaching investments."
"This is the first type of marketing that has felt good to me.”
“Your videos made me feel better straight away! I have so much debt from so many courses that were NOT a fit for me.”
“I'm a bit in awe at the generosity poured forth in this course and I've been telling all of my solopreneur friends about your work.”
Inner Work: The Trap
What This Course Is About: Discover where in the inner and archetypal realms your business has been stymied. This is often an immediately impactful revelation that, once you see it, you can’t un-see it. The way out of this trap begins with seeing it clearly.
So many clients come to me confounded as to why they can’t get ahead (even when they seem to have all Seven Fundamentals in place). In those cases, it may be a bigger unseen trouble, which I call The Trap.
By The End, You’ll Be Able To:
See clearly whether you tend towards posturing or collapsing when under stress.
See clearly which is stronger: your Inner Artist or your Inner Entrepreneur (hint: your Inner Artist is, almost certainly, dominating your Inner Entrepreneur to your detriment).
See a path of composure moving forward that marries your Inner Artist and Entrepreneur (to give birth to the never-before-seen child of your business).
Niche: How To Articulate What You Do
What This Course Is About: Learn a simple, tried and tested, five step formula + four additional frames you can use to describe what you do (even if it’s the most woo woo, arcane, esoteric, and mixed melange of modalities).
You know you need to be able to clearly state what you do in a way anyone can understand - and you also know that this is incredibly hard to do.
Take heart. This is easier than you think.
Note: Your workbook will give you dozens of real life examples of this to help it land. You'll see it applied over and over.
By The End, You’ll Be Able To:
See clearly why you have struggled to articulate your work for so long (and it’s almost always the same pattern).
Clearly and consistently answer the dreaded question, “So, what do you do?” in a way that has your ideal clients say, “Oh my God! That’s me!” and others say, “I know someone who needs this!” No more blank stares. No more ‘polite interest’ of ‘Huh… That’s interesting. So what got you into that?’
Space: The Breathing Room
What This Course Is About: How to generate $2000 USD for your business within 90 days (by first creating more breathing room in your life and business).
So many clients come to me drowning. They’re in a cashflow crunch, need money yesterday, and yet have no time to implement the tactics they need to do in order to get the clients.
Note: I've run this course live fifteen times. I've charged $300 USD for it (and that was when I offered a bargain). This course comes with a workbook packed with 35 of my best, tried and tested, proven to work, 'fast cash' strategies. I figure that, if you do all of this and it works, it could help you pay for your time in the Membership.
By The End, You’ll Be Able To:
Breathe much easier having created the space in your life you need to get unstuck, focus, and get real traction on your business.
Identify the shortest path to clients and money-on-the-table profits that are sitting there in most businesses by using one of the tried and tested, fast cashflow tactics to reap the windfall. And to do this regularly when you need it.
Ask for the help and support you actually need with much more ease instead of suffering silently and beating yourself up.
The Fundamentals Tier
In working on these courses, something occurred to me that hadn’t when I first thought of moving to Simplero and, as a result of that, I’ve divided the courses in the Fundamentals Tier into two tracks: The Fast Track and The Deep Track.
The Fast Track is composed of five courses - designed to take you through the fundamentals at an accelerated rate and to give you the 20% of the work that will make 80% of the difference. My guess is that, with a bit of focus, you could complete the Fast Track in three months.
Goal Of The Fast Track Of The Fundamentals: I've designed the Fast Track of the Fundamentals Tier to help you craft a well aimed, compelling and profitable Signature Workshop you can tour to grow your business.
The purpose of The Fast Track is to get you clients, pronto.

Space: The Breathing Room
Whilst this course is part of the Basics Tier as well, it’s such an integral piece that we’ve included it as part of The Fast Track too.
Niche: Your Ideal Client
What This Course Is About: What an ideal client is, why it matters and how to write an effective Your Ideal Client Page for your website.
For a service provider, identifying your Ideal Client is the core work of niching.
The Ideal Client Page on your website ends up being both the dojo where you can work out your niche and the garden where you harvest every scrap of clarity you’ve got.
By The End, You’ll Be Able To:
Craft a page on your website that will have your ideal clients lean in and say, “Oh my god! That’s me! They totally get it!” (and that will have the clients who definitely are not a fit look elsewhere).
Articulate and identify the five levels of an ideal client (most people miss four of these five levels when articulating their ideal clients).
Point Of View Marketing: The My Philosophy Page
What This Course Is About: What a My Philosophy Page is, why it matters, and how to write one.
By The End, You’ll Be Able To:
Craft a single, credibility-building, compelling page on your website that takes your entire, unwieldy point of view and distills it down into something that has your ideal clients lean in and say, “Wow! That makes so much sense! That would work!”
Articulate and identify ‘the three cases’ you need to make to your ideal clients.
Business Model: Delight! The Art + Science of Crafting Remarkable Offers
What This Course Is About: The art and science of crafting remarkable offers (and why this matters so much).
By The End, You’ll Be Able To:
Create offers that are so well thought out and crafted that your ideal clients say, “Stop talking. Shut up and take my money! That’s exactly what I’m looking for.”
Evaluate past offers that have failed to get much, if any, response and identify exactly where they failed.
How to take existing offers and make them much more compelling to your ideal clients.
Sharing: Craft Your Signature Workshop
What This Course Is About: What a Signature Workshop is, how to craft one, and why nothing seems to work better at getting clients.
By The End, You’ll Be Able To:
Craft a potent, focused, 60-minute workshop that gets you in front of people and sharing what you do. Your Signature Workshop will weave together all your work from Your Ideal Client Page and My Philosophy Page, and ends with a compelling offer you crafted in The Delight! course.
Articulate the four parts of a Signature Workshop and what goes into each.
Goal Of The Deep Track Of The Fundamentals: I've designed the Deep Track of the Fundamentals Tier to help you craft a simple, satisfying, sustainable, and profitable business in which you get most of your clients through word of mouth.

Strategy: Pulling Back The Bow
What This Course Is About: How to craft the most direct, deliberate, and likely path from where you are to where you want to get to in your business.
This course is a deep dive into strategy. It's time to craft a bow, pause, pull out and lock in your arrow, pull back the bow, aim and pause and aim again, say a prayer, and let the arrow go.
By The End, You’ll Be Able To:
Identify what you need to say ‘no’ to and set down (90% of strategy is what you decide to not do or stop doing. It’s not what you do - as hard as that is).
Use multiple strategy frameworks to make the big picture, long term plans for your business.
Articulate what are called your “Unfair Advantages” (the things about your business that are hard, if not impossible, to copy).
Step back and really, really look at where your business and industry are at and where you want to go based on all of that. No more throwing arrows, reactively, by hand.
Ethical Marketing
What This Course Is About: How to articulate your ethics in conversations with potential clients to help them feel more at ease.
This course is a kind of “reverse gaslighting”. It’s a deep affirmation of your core instincts of where marketing has felt off for you for a long time.
By The End, You’ll Be Able To:
Help root yourself even more into this pressure-free philosophy so you can differentiate yourself in a marketplace crowded with snake-oil sellers and confidence artists.
Identify quickly, and with confidence, where a strategy you’re considering (or being subjected to) is ethical or not. When people try to sell you bullshit you’ll be able to spot it quickly and save yourself a lot of money.
Craft marketing strategies that feel genuinely good to everyone involved - yourself, the prospect, and anyone watching.
Niche: Going Deeper
What This Course Is About: How to hone your niche with a level of depth and clarity you’ve always yearned for but have never been able to get to.
Niching is all about finding and articulating the role you want to be known for in the marketplace.
Your Ideal Client is important but it’s only the first step in niching. This course will take you five fathoms deep in figuring out what sets you apart, and the work you want people to seek you out for, from multiple different angles. An added benefit: This makes every marketing message you write easier to craft, and resonate more deeply with your audience.
By The End, You’ll Be Able To:
Identify and work through your biggest fears and resistances around niching (without pushing yourself to do anything you don’t want to do).
Clearly see the connections between your wounds and your niche - between your life story and the work you do now. This helps deal with so much of the imposter syndrome that so many coaches and healers carry.
Use input from your unconscious to help guide your niching process (via three visualizations we’ve created for you).
Access your right brain’s help in honing your niche by learning how to draw your Ideal Clients current reality, desired state, and worst fears (even if you think you can’t draw).
Hone your niche with even more clarity than you created in your Ideal Client page.
Know exactly where you fit in the marketplace.
Create beta tests and pilot programs that allow you to get rapid feedback on whether your niche is a good and profitable idea or not.
Articulate your ‘bigger why’ in such a way that people resonate with your work deeply. This is an element of niching that almost everyone misses.
Set down niching once and for all and move onto all the other pieces of marketing that never worked for you because your niche was too fuzzy.
Point Of View Marketing: Next Steps
What This Course Is About: This course takes you beyond your My Philosophy Page and into the realm of thought leadership.
By The End, You’ll Be Able To:
Make the case for your Point of View (POV) even more clearly and compellingly than before (even if you’ve already written your My Philosophy Page).
Go much deeper on your core Diagnosis, Prognosis, and Prescription.
Craft and use your core, single sentence message (around which your entire POV revolves).
Expand your POV beyond the Individual Level and into the Collective (Interpersonal, Institutional, and Intergenerational) Level and Universal Level. People come for what you’ve got to say at the Individual Level but they often stay for the other two levels. Doing this gives your work the depth, gravitas, and credibility that most coaches don’t have.
Draw out a visual map of your POV (like the Seven Fundamentals pyramid) that your ideal clients could look at and have it all make sense in one, coherent visual.
Articulate with crystal clear clarity the core, organizing principles, premises, and assumptions that underwrite your work. When you do this your credibility goes through the roof.
Gather and organize the evidence you need to make the case for your work in a way that’s believable.
Know exactly where and how to put and apply your point of view in your marketing.
Come up with ideas for virtually endless, compelling content.
Business Model
What This Course Is About: Think through the structural questions so that your business brings you the money and lifestyle you want.
Having a compelling offer is great, but your business model is the entire architecture of your business. It’s much bigger than a simple offer. If you want a business and not a hobby, this course will help you identify the business model that will help you balance work, life, and the income to sustain you.
By The End, You’ll Be Able To:
Identify where your current business model is strong and where it’s weak (where you’ve got leaks in the current bucket of your business).
Visually map out your current and desired business model (and see what’s missing or is there that shouldn’t be).
Create solid internal systems and what I call the Business Maintenance Checklists (or Standard Operating Procedures) for your business so that nothing is slipping through the cracks on the regular.
Identify and implement ways to make your business safer to approach from those just coming across your work so they’re more likely to approach you and become a client.
Hub Marketing
What This Course Is About: How to connect with clients who’ll love your work.
All of the other courses are useless unless you make it easy (if not inevitable) that your ideal clients can find you. Hub Marketing is how that happens (social media marketing not required).
By The End, You’ll Be Able To:
Be able to set up your business so you get way more clients through word of mouth.
Create practical, nuts and bolts systems that have you get way more referrals than you’ve ever received.
Identify the best places to find your ideal clients (even if it’s seemed hopeless before).
Approach your hubs in a way that feels clear, genuinely good, and pressure-free to all involved.
Articulate what Hub Marketing is to your friends and colleagues in a way that might help them get clients.
Sharing
What This Course Is About: Discover 20+ of the best, client-producing tactics you can use to share your work with the marketplace.
Crafting your Signature Workshop is likely going to be the most effective way for you to get the word out. That’s where I would focus but… you might decide to add one or more tactics to your approach.
Plus, in this course, you’ll find some of my content targeted around specific industries (you might just find the perfect nugget you’ve been looking for here).
By The End, You’ll Be Able To:
Build your marketing strategy around 2-3 of the simplest, most direct and profitable marketing approaches that fit you like a glove.
Find other coaches who can help you take the next steps in implementing those tactics.
Remember: The purpose of the Deep Track is to help you build a profitable business that is sustainable, satisfying, and simple. With these foundations and fundamentals in place, you'd be amazed at how courses and tactics that previously didn't work for you, try as you might, suddenly become incredibly effective.
If this all sounds like what you’re looking for and you want to get started…
THING #1: PRIORITIZED RESPONSES: Can you get my attention by commenting on my content on social media and YouTube? Yes, maybe. But I prioritize my responses to members within the membership platform over my public platforms. Feel free to DM me any time.
THING #2: FIRST DIBS ON ANY NEW STUFF I MAKE: As I grow my body of work, experiment with new ideas, and offer new courses, books, or programs; you’ll be the first to be invited.
THING #3: FIRST DIBS (AND DISCOUNTS) ON PUTTERING SESSIONS: Every month, I offer up about a dozen chances to work with me one-on-one, which I call the Puttering Sessions. But, if you’re in the Fundamentals tier, you’ll get notified before anyone else (even before the advanced notice list). Plus you also get a great discount on each session.
THING #4: EXTRA COACHING WITH TAD FOR NICHE REVIEWS: This used to be available to the public but I've now decided that only Fundamentals Tier members can purchase this (other than occasional promotions and as part of The Niching Bundle). You will send me your best summary of your niche in 280 characters and I will send you a 4-7 minute voice note with my best reflections to improve it.
One Last Thought For You - Whether Or Not You Join My Membership, Business Isn’t Meant To Be Done Alone
It’s easy to fall victim to the “lonely-preneur syndrome”, but business, marketing, and life are all about relationships. That's one of the reasons we struggle when we’re trying to create our businesses in isolation, alone behind a screen or keyboard. We need feedback and help when we get lost in the weeds. We need the ability to talk things through and brainstorm solutions, to get help even if it’s just to hear someone else say “you’re on the right track, keep going.”
Most entrepreneurs I meet are stuck in monologue mode. They talk at their potential clients, which feels like shouting into the void (because it often is). They consume podcast content where the host talks at them. But they're not speaking with each other in a dialogue.
Your business thrives in dialogue. It dies in monologue.
If your business path has been like mine, you sort of tripped into the work you’re doing and have been stumbling forward solo ever since with no particular plan, just trying not to fall over from the momentum.
This membership is a chance to stop, stand up straight, take in a deep breath, and re-evaluate where you want to go from here and how… but with help.
You’ll be asked simple questions like “is this really the way you want to be living your life?” and, perhaps, more importantly “is your current business model set up so that it fits with who you are and what you most want to create?”
What this membership offers, most importantly, is space (or at least the excuse and encouragement to create it) to work on the Seven Fundamentals of ethical marketing at your own pace and with the help of others through co-working days, pods & buddy systems, and regular Q&A calls with myself.
This membership offers the chance to go deep.
Because remember…

FAQ: What kind of progress can I expect?
Assuming you're setting aside at least five hours a week, come to the calls regularly and are making this a priority here's what you can expect:
WEEK ONE: ORIENTATION: Get oriented to the Membership by going through the Start Here course, attending the Live Onboarding session, if there's a networking call for podding up, join that, get familiar with all the things etc.
MONTH ONE: THE BASICS: Get through the Basics Tier content (if you haven't already). You've formed yourself a pod with three to five others in the Membership and are planning your first meetings and ways to stay in touch. You are starting to see where you've been stuck and what you need to focus on.
MONTHS TWO → FOUR: THE FAST TRACK: Complete the Fast Track. By the end of this, you will have generated space, built momentum, and brought in some fast-cash. You will have written and published a crystal clear Ideal Client page owning and honing your niche, a compelling My Philosophy page to share your unique point of view, crafted a remarkable offer, and have designed a client-attracting Signature Workshop you'd be proud to tour. Your pod is now well formed and you're getting to know each other more deeply. You are now very clear on what's been missing in your business and what to focus on.
MONTHS FIVE → TWELVE: THE DEEP TRACK: By the end of the Deep Track, you’ll have articulated your Mission, Vision and Values, you've deepened, refined and tested your niche, expanded and simplified your Point of View, created the basic internal systems you need for your business to be more sustainable, implemented at least one sure-fire referral mechanism, identified a key Hub category to focus on and your plan to approach them, crafted the systems you need to successfully tour your Signature Workshop (which has improved from all the above work) and chosen one more tactic that feels good to you for sharing your work and getting clients. You're having people reaching out to you saying, "I just found you and read your website and oh my god! You're exactly what I've been looking for!" You are no longer confused by where your business is and what it needs. Now your friends, seeing the incredible progress you've made, are asking you for marketing advice. You've got a small, basic brick house. It's not fancy but it works.
YEAR TWO: If you stay for a second year (and many do) your business starts to feel very solid. Any gaps in between the bricks in the house of your business get filled. You're laying better trails to your door and putting up signs to make it easier to find you. You are building an extension, a larder, a root cellar, putting on solar panels and getting better, more beautiful furniture. Marketing gets easier and easier. The changes are less pronounced but more potent. You find even deeper levels of clarity you couldn't have imagined in month one. I might even end up using you as a case study in an email. In the second year, all the puzzle pieces of year one begin to come together.
YEAR THREE: If you stay for a third year (and many do as well) your business becomes a kind of work of art and you, likely, have a waitlist and are selling your courses out early. You don't have to convince anyone. You feel incredibly proud of your business and clear as to what you're about. You've completed the puzzle of your business and the whole picture is there. You become the client that marketing coaches who focus on specific tactics dream of working with. Courses and coaches that were useless to you in the past, because you didn't have your niche and POV down, now become incredibly useful. Colleagues of yours have gone out of business over the past years but you are still standing.
By the end of your first year in the membership, you can expect to feel more clear and solid in your business than you ever have.
FAQ: So, after one year, I'll have my Fundamentals down?
In my experience, after a year, you’ll have the skeleton of your fundamentals in place. And it depends where you’re starting. For example, if you’re straight out of corporate and you’ve been steeped in coercive sales and marketing approaches and you’re just starting a niche-less coaching business during a very busy period of your life; you’re likely to take longer. If you show up to the membership with your ethics aligned, plenty of space, and a crystal clear niche; you’ll be amazed at what you can accomplish in twelve months.
FAQ: Why "one year"?
When sharing about my membership, I often say, “Give Us And Your Business One Year”. This is because one year of focused effort is the bare minimum of how long it takes to set worthy foundations in place and build something of substance.
And, of course, that kind of focus means other things may temporarily suffer as they are set aside for a time. We can’t do everything. God knows we’ve tried. And it’s sad (let’s not pretend it isn’t). It means saying ‘no’ to some things to fully say ‘yes’ to your business.
FAQ: When are the live calls?
Call times with Tad are mostly chosen to support North America and Europe right now, as this is where the majority of our members are located (and where I’m located). Starting in February 2026, we will be trialling a monthly Monday 5pm PST for Australia-Asia, and if it’s attended well, we’ll likely continue.
FAQ: What is the cancellation policy?
You can cancel your subscription at any time! PLEASE NOTE: We do not provide pro-rated refunds, see our full Refund Policy.
FAQ: What if I don't provide a service and my business is product based?
While many of MfH members are service providers, there are also artists, musicians, and others making and selling products. The common thread is the desire to build socially conscious, sustainable, profitable businesses with ethics, beauty, and effectiveness. So although the content is focused on service providers, product-based businesses still stand to gain value from our membership in many ways.
How does selling a product and a service differ?
Selling a product is, in some ways, easier. Customers can see and touch your product. But with a service, you're selling the invisible. It's ephemeral.
The setup is the same: your ideal clients are on Island A and they want to get to Island B. Your business (or products) are like a boat that can get them from one island to another.
The main difference is this: with a service your focus in marketing is on that journey from Island A to B. With a product, you're selling the boat itself. And so then your POV work is not about how to make the journey but, rather, about how such a boat should be made.
If you'd like to get to know my approach to marketing products, this playlist might be helpful. Most of the focus for product makers ends up being on Hub Marketing (of which there are many free playlists as well).
FAQ: What kind of personal support is available?
This membership isn’t one-on-one coaching with a lot of personal hand holding. But you will have access to multiple tiers of personal support:
Onboarding + Dedicated Marketing For Hippies Membership Coordinator: When you join the Fundamentals Tier of the Membership, you’ll be hosted in a group onboarding call as well as have someone you can reach out to as needed to help find what you’re looking for.
Self-Assessment Survey: When you join the Membership, you’ll be invited to take a quiz to determine which course you should start with to get the best results.
Puttering Session Discounts: You get first dibs and discounts on one-on-one coaching sessions with me.
Niche Reviews: Want me to take a look at your niche? You can buy a Niche Review and send me your best writeup and receive a voice note from me offering my reflections. These are largely for members only now, and no longer available to the public.
Live Coaching Q&A Calls With Tad: You’ll have access to regular, group coaching calls with me where you can ask me anything and bring the work you’ve been doing in the courses.
Pods: You’ll have plenty of opportunities to get feedback from your peers.
Cavern Sessions: There will be member-led, two-hour calls where you can dive deep into one of the fundamentals together (e.g. a two-hour Niching Cavern), and give and receive personalized feedback with each other.
FAQ: How does this differ from your original membership?
When we started our Version 1.0 of the membership in December of 2020, we put everything into it: every article, video, ebook, webinar, and course I’d ever created. On one hand it was generous and convenient. But on the other (much larger) hand, it was utterly overwhelming for members. They didn’t know where to start or where to look to find things.
In the Version 2.0, we’ve pared it down to carefully selected and well constructed courses (inside of which you can find links to all the relevant materials you need. It’s not that we’ve removed content or value, but that we have organized it much better so that you’ll only come across content when you need it. We’ve also made it much easier to find and apply the content you’re looking for (e.g. instead of having all of the 2000+ videos we’ve made in the membership, we will give you links to key videos and bonus playlists if needed).
FAQ: I'm not a natural business person, even more so in this marketing realm. Does anything in the program support folks like me?
It might. It's true that some people really aren't great entrepreneurs, or they’re great at generating ideas for businesses, but less interested in the work it takes to sustain and grow them. Some are genuinely better off with jobs or being supported by their spouse. But this membership won't magically turn you into a business person if it's not in your nature.
FAQ: What if the price is too much for me?
If affordability is an issue, you still have access to our entire library of 2000+ free YouTube videos, live workshops offered on a PWYC basis (if they come to a town near you), as well as the $7 USD/month (plus applicable taxes) Basics Tier of the Membership.
FAQ: Can my whole team join?
Yes. You will set-up one profile when you pay for the membership. However, anyone on your team is welcome to use your account, from time to time, to join the calls with you or on your behalf."
I started my Membership in December 2020. The lockdowns were in full swing all over the world and people were scrambling to take their businesses online in the midst of the mayhem.
The urgent panic of those times is gone but it seems to have been replaced by a slower, steadier, grinding fear and stress. So many entrepreneurs I know are at the breaking point and unsure if their business has any chance of success.
Most of my colleagues, as the coaching and healing market become increasingly saturated, and the price of everything goes up, are seeing their numbers drop.
Things I’ve heard from clients and colleagues:
“This year sales have been so flat it's drained all my reserves.”
“People are more reluctant to invest in themselves, not because they don’t want the help, but because they don’t trust the future. It’s caution born from constant uncertainty.”
“I suspect within the next five years, my job in the office will be obsolete, thanks to AI. I won’t be the only one. It’s terrifying and I don’t know how we manage our way thru this.”
“The platforms most of us depended on for marketing our biz have fucked us over and limited our reaches so much its barely worth posting, and many of my ideal clients are consciously leaving or minimizing time on these platforms for their mental health which is great but bad for business.”
“It is hard to find the right price structure that honors inflation and our need to make more with other people's lack of spare income.”
“People seem so overwhelmed that they're struggling to even get through online content... even my membership which is a 60 min ritual, short meditation and inquiry practice a month half the people say they haven't 'had the time!’”
“It feels hard to even talk about some subjects when there is such a big looming threat and the feeling we aren't doing enough, that other stuff isn't as important comparatively etc.”
“I see what you're seeing. The bracing, the gritting, over-extended, the burnout, the dreams unrealized, the suffering. Both in corporate spaces and entrepreneurship.”
“So many people who are finding it incredibly difficult to make big life decisions and move forward with a strong sense of direction because we all have a deep-seated fear of what’s to come.”
“I'm seeing a big decrease in discretionary spending. A re-focus of resources. I've noticed that service-based businesses (at least those who offer more coaching-esque, or healing services) have struggled the most. My own experience running an online course business showed me the big shift in spending habits.”
“I'm feeling the same pinch in my work. Seems harder to find new clients, and the ones I have don't seem to "have time" to do the work.”
“I think there is something real to be said about the wellness/Spiritual/healing industry simply being exhausted at this point. We've been holding the collective through enormous shifts since pre-covid times, and we're still 'in the trenches' so to speak, with no end in sight. We're all tired, even if we are in our heart centered and soul aligned passions.”
And then there’s the money: almost anyone I know my age or younger can’t even imagine owning a home (unless they inherit either it or the money to buy it).
Most of us are waiting for the other shoe to drop: the next big market crash or disaster. I see so many people bracing, with reasons good and bad, against the threats (known and unknown) of the days to come. As one colleague wrote, “There is a massive nervous system contraction happening collectively, a quiet tightening that comes from years of uncertainty, overstimulation, and global tension.”
So many people I know have quietly confessed to me that these days have an ‘end times’ feeling about them. It’s hard to argue. Has it always been this way? Are we just more informed and aware now or have things taken a sudden slide for the worse?
Well, you could ask the village elders but, for most of us, there aren’t any and the breakdown in any shared understanding of who we can trust might be one of the surest signs of the end times there is.
And so we’re in a different time than when we started because the future we imagine for ourselves today isn’t the same future we imagined for ourselves even five years ago.
And of course, yes, both you and I know that there’s an immense amount of good happening in the world too: both on its own and being crafted in response to all of this. There are people relearning their ancestral languages and traditional skills, there’s an explosion in ritual work, grief ceremonies, herbalism, and holistic medicine. As a Forest School teacher wrote, “Since so many people already work on screens, more people feel a huge need to use their hands, make things, and return to the real world.”
As things grow darker there will also be a rise of those responding to it with light.
My guess is that your work is a part of that and, perhaps in part at least, prompted by the darkness of the times.
There is something about these times that is galvanizing something in people.
Maybe it’s got to do with what the good Michael Meade wrote in his book
Maybe it’s got to do with what the good Michael Meade wrote in his book Why The World Doesn’t End:
"The meaning of the word “end” might seem obvious and conclusive; yet root meanings reveal “tailings” and “remnants” and “that which is left over”… [it] carries the sense that the current state cannot continue and that it is too late for things to simply be repaired.
In order for things to change in a meaningful way, many things must come to and end. As archetype of radical change, [it] presents a pattern in which a shattering of forms occurs before the world as we know it can be reconstituted.
In the cosmic turn around if enough endings can be found, things can begin again… When the end seems near, ancient and lasting things are also close and waiting to be discovered… What we find at the end are both last things and things that last… Chaos not only describes the way that things fall apart at the end, but also the original state from which all creation continually arises…
In the end, all we can offer the world is the life we came here to live and the gifts our soul would have us give. When the end seems near, genuine security can only be found in taking the kind of risks that lead to a greater sense of life and a more encompassing way of being in the world…
Great crises and impossible demands often provoke hidden resources and reveal hints of the hidden wholeness and unity of life. The threat of collapse and utter loss can provoke a deeper sense of wholeness where nothing but total involvement and whole-heartedness will work… this capacity for great vision and imagination tends to awaken only after other approaches have failed.”
I think that’s as good a description of our situation as I’ve ever read.
When you find yourself at what feels like the end of days, when all is unravelling, it might be time to go back to the fundamentals that have outlasted us all.
That’s what this membership is about: the fundamentals.
Seven of them.
One stacked upon the other, starting with ethics and ending with you sharing your work with the world.
Why does this all matter?
I’ll make a few predictions.
These aren’t about creating fear. This is just me calling it as I see it.
Here it is:
Within five years, much of the holistic and coaching industry will be wiped out. As financial pressures increase (and I expect them to increase profoundly in the next three years), one of the first expenses to go will be money spent with generic, run-of-the-mill healers and coaches.
One colleague wrote, “Watching many MLM companies collapse and fly-by-night Coaches stop seeing the easy money they once expected feels like a necessary market correction...A necessary remembering that hustle and trends do not sustainability make.”
I would suggest that anyone who doesn’t have their business fundamentals in place won’t make it.
Anyone who has been operating unethically won’t make it.
Anyone who is too overcommitted to prioritize getting their foundations in place won’t make it.
Anyone trying to be everything to everyone and who is afraid of telling the truth of what they see from where they’re standing won’t make it.
Anyone still treating their business like a hobby won’t make it.
Anyone who is stuck in growing their business by cold calls, cold DMs, and cold emailing strangers won’t make it.
Anyone using tactics to share their work that, deep in their craw, don’t feel good to do, won’t make it.
Now, you might have all of those things in place and still not make it. God knows there are no guarantees in this lifetime.
So, take it or leave it, that’s my honest assessment of what’s coming.
This membership is my best answer to that (but it might not be the best answer for you).
My membership, and all of my work is dedicated to the simple premise and hard practice of braiding together the three strands of ethics, effectiveness, and beauty.
Ethics and effectiveness are the two core fundamentals. Beauty is the foundation, and so the mission of my little business is to restore the beauty of the marketplace. Not all of it. Not most of it. Not much of it. My little corner.
How do we do that? By heeding the words of the good Martin Prechtel when he wrote, “Be beautiful on the way to the answer. That is the answer.”
We’d be honoured to have you.
If not, well that’s okay too. Heaven knows my membership isn’t the only game in town. I hope you find what you’re looking for (or even better) somewhere else down the road.

I just wanted to touch base and share my appreciations of the membership so far. First, the material is just what I want and didn't know I could find. It resonates with me and is helping me get a great deal of clarity. I have been having a blast going through the Niching program. Second, I really appreciate all of the events. I love the co-working times and events where we work on a specific exercise. I love the concept of continually bringing folks together, touching base, and getting feedback. Finally, that brings me to my most favorite part. MfH has created an amazing community. I love hearing about what others are doing in the world, supporting them, and being supported by them. These are my people and it makes me feel so good being a part of this community and the sense of belonging that is fostered there. I would say that the community is a huge selling point for the membership!

I started following Tad, slowly at first, following his talk at Mark Walsh’s online Conscious Marketing Event in Summer 2020. I was just planning to systematically work through Tad’s extensive library of videos, not knowing where to start, when the Marketing for Hippies Membership was announced. It was perfect timing. An answer to prayer! Honestly, like everyone else, I had no idea what to expect. There were four BIG UNEXPECTED wins for me.
Win #1: The amazing group of people who have signed up with a generous heart ready to share and support others without a sense of competition, so I’ve already made several new Soul-friends since I started to connect with the group, in the last three weeks. There is also a feeling of belonging here, a sense of homecoming. I’ve nicknamed it the Hippy Colony!
Win #2: There’s NO pressure. Go at your own pace. BUT there’s help available if you need it!
Win #3: The depth of learning from attending LIVE events like Linda Katz Case Study, Community Collaboration sessions and The Meantime.
Win #4: My BIGGEST unexpected win is knowing that there are REAL LIVE PEOPLE ‘here’ (yeah..it feels like a place!) who are actually using SLOW MARKETING to create SUSTAINABLE PROFITABLE ‘Good for the World’ businesses. The fact these role models exist is a HUGE relief and blessing. I feel I’m experiencing a paradigm shift by osmosis just by being here! Furthermore, if these role models are our mirrors, then the fact that I am part of this group signifies I am getting close to achieving what for a long time I feared was impossible – to successfully promote and market myself authentically and honestly, fully aligned with my truth and the integrity I strive to bring to all I do.

Tad’s membership program is a virtual forest of courses, articles, tools and techniques on clarifying your niche and marketing for people passionate about doing what they can to make the world a better place without bullshit, hard sell or convincing. Fortunately in this forest there are some pretty good guides!

I’ve been following Tad for almost two decades, attended a few events and one puttering session. I knew I needed more help with my ‘stuff’ as my understanding and offers keep evolving; so when the membership came up, I was so excited. Almost all the Tad stuffs in one place. YAY! I don’t even think I read the sales letter fully – just jumped right in. Knowing Tad’s work for so long and seeing his integrity and value over the years just grow and get better, it was a no brainer for me. Working with Tad is fabulous but what’s even more amazing are the people he brings together.

Tad’s membership programme is so rich and luscious and full with information and resources, and at the same time a safe community place, where everyone shows up with honesty and integrity. Tad has an incredible ability to listen and really hear, to look and really see, he is a fountain of knowledge and experience which he shares so generously, he tells bad jokes that make you laugh, and in a seemingly effortless way supports you on your journey. And he is also just an all-round good person really. In only 2 months, without even realising, I have learnt so much and my approach to my marketing has taken a 180 degree turn. Every day I now look forward to investing time and energy into the development of my business. Thank you!

I jumped into this membership after having only seen one of Tad’s video because it just felt right. And when I started diving into the comprehensive material and heard Tad say something I’ve felt (and taught) for a while – that sales are NOT about convincing anyone of anything, but about seeing if people are fit for our work – I knew I was in the right place. I’ve struggled to find experts to work with in my business who have the flow, authenticity, non-pushy and genuine heart-centered approach that works for me. But the choice isn’t between marketing tactics that feel shit or lack of success. I don’t think that we need to sacrifice success in order to either stick to our values or have a deep positive impact. In fact, I think it’s the opposite. And I also think that Tad’s genuine and practical marketing genius can help conscious business owners with big hearts to increase their potential for positive impact. Because everyone wins from that.

My intention for joining the membership was to learn more from Tad after years of following his work in social media. My deepest wish was this can help me be aligned with my offerings and how I can show up authentically. Weeks into the membership, I am not only expanding how I view my work and the service I provide, I am also celebrating being with inspiring people who are also bringing out amazing things in the world. What I am loving are the engagement and depth of conversations, the willingness of people to be vulnerable in asking support, the generosity of the members in giving insightful feedbacks, and the energy is so nurturing!

My impression of Tad landed when I saw pictures of him. I loved how he owned his hippie-ness in the way that he dressed and looked. That, combined with his clarity about marketing, what it means for him and his ability to speak simply and clearly made it clear to me that how he worked aligns with how I wished to show up. At first, I hesitated, because I have a tendency to pay for things and then abdicate my responsibility to engage in what I am buying. I use my intuition to make decisions and my intuition guided me to follow Tad via his newsletter/YouTube, etc. When his Membership offering showed up, that resonated as a way to engage that works for me.
I tiptoed into my engagement with Tad. Each video and each newsletter just confirmed that his approach resonated for me. I have a very low-key approach to marketing and I want to continue to create a business that I love and that sustains me financially, emotionally and energetically. I want to make an impact without losing my joy for life–that is a knife edge for me. If I lose my joy, then I tip over into depression. Tad presents marketing as a way to share your gifts and talents. It is about being authentically you. I particularly like his take on POV marketing.
Tad’s approach to niching and its unfolding is great as well. In the Membership, my progress reports have been really useful for me to stay engaged and directional. My business feels more grounded and although that has resulted in more income, it is more a sense of knowing there is place to go and a structure that can keep me on track. I have a degree in marketing and have always had a positive relationship with marketing.
What I love about the Membership is the ‘easy Tiger’ slow marketing approach. It reminds me that I can breathe my way into the world. I started my latest business in my 50s. I think at this stage that I learn from every experience.
In my experience, knowing about tools and processes is great, but heart-led guidance is what works. I don’t think that people who ‘sell process’ or ‘the way’ intentionally burn people–that is just where they are, and to be honest, I feel compassion for them. They are often people who believe ‘hard work’ is part of the formula.

I have followed Tad for almost 9 years and mostly just watched a few videos, read a few blogs, read his newsletter, seen FB posts. I have grown to really respect him and what he does, and to trust him. So when he offered the chance to join a membership program I thought about it and decided, yes, it is worth it. And I am loving it! [an aside:apart from the tech glitches and the learning curve of the site].
I love the community I am finding, the information being shared, and finally being able to afford Tad’s books and courses! My understanding of how to have a sustainable business is growing and I am clarifying what my business is. Tad’s approach fits me so well. And he has a wry sense of humor which just delights me! My joining at this time demonstrates what he says about there being the right time for an offer to land.

Tad and his team are great! Their attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot and make good on the inevitable startup pains of the platform and their willingness to incorporate feedback from us has made my first month here both productive and very enjoyable.
The community support and feedback on tasks when I ask has also been wonderful. It seems everyone here is familiar even though we’ve never met before. I am looking forward to the synergies that are starting to emerge as we all support each other in achieving our goals of entrepreneurial success and freedom.

My experience in Tad’s membership so far has been highly positive. I joined to get some more feedback on my niche and my next approaches to connect with those ideals clients. I’ve been close, SO close for what seems like ages on a really great fitting niche. Within a month of joining I now have that clarity. Between a bit of personal attention and questions from Tad, and some great group discussions and collaborations, I got exactly what I needed for that last step in my niche clarity.

If you are not part of this membership, you are missing out. It is so worth the investment and then some. I can now to get access to all Tad’s amazing eBooks and join any of the courses, teleseminars and workshops. The community calls and feedback and conversations have been amazing and I have already had 2 enquiries for work. There is also a wealth of blogs and video content around different topics … all in one place.
On top of that I get to hang out with an amazing group of people with the same values and ethics of bringing about positive change in the world and supporting each other to grow our businesses. Even if you are a business veteran and doing well, there is always so much more to share and learn.

What a privilege to be included in this the membership and on this platform. I was relatively new to Tad and the Marketing for Hippies community when I came across the membership but could immediately see the value in what was on offer. I have been intimidated and struggling for YEARS with even knowing where to start with a marketing plan, to the point that I was almost paralyzed and going in circles.
Within a matter of days I was surrounded by the most incredible and supportive community of ethically minded entrepreneurs and had access to every imaginable self-paced resource geared toward facilitating my success. Tad’s entire network of support staff are genuine and truly invested in providing a phenomenal experience, always going above and beyond to ensure that we’re having the experience we were promised.
AND the absolute icing on the cake is that IT ACTUALLY WORKS! By simply following the steps, listening and putting myself out there I already have more quality clients than I know what to do with, and that’s a really good problem to have!
Laurena Brittain, Relationship Coach

The breadth of Tad’s learning materials is truly impressive, with topics ranging from niche to business model and pricing as well as the pure nuts and bolts of marketing. There is a consistently high quality of thinking behind the courses and content here. It is so wonderful (and such a relief!) to come across resources like this, designed for someone like me, who sees business in the way I do. The access to learning along with the generous support from like minded entrepreneurs has helped me focus on developing my business and marketing in a way I haven’t managed before. I am very glad I signed up!

If you have been sitting on the sidelines of the Tad hippie festival for awhile now ~ watching his videos, reading his blog, and resonating with his words, then I encourage you to step in from the fringe and into the party! When you do, you will have access to everything under the Tad tent. All located in one convenient place and supported by his great team, in an easy to use platform. Plus, you get to hang out with us great folks who speak the same marketing language and know exactly what you are going though.

In just a few weeks of diving in the courses and attending the calls, I’ve achieved more clarity than ever on my niche and the different elements of my marketing. Tad has a simple and clear way of presenting these topics, and creating immediate action. Cherry on the cake, his humour and relaxed attitude makes it enjoyable to talk about marketing… Who would have thought! ?
I’m glad I joined the membership, it has turned something that felt complex and boring to me, into a creative and generous practice. And something I love about this membership, is a very special energy I never experienced in any other online community. Tad has experience in non-violent communication, and that shows in the quality of interaction during the calls, but also in general in the online portal.
