If you're like most folks when they first come to me, there are six things you need right.
NEED #1: ETHICAL APPROACH - "Marketing feels so gross!" Most people who find me early on are coming in rattled and rankled by the mainstream (and even some of the 'conscious') marketing world. They've been told to do things that feel 'off', slimy, pushy, inauthentic and manipulative. When they resisted doing those things, they were gaslit and told that they have some 'inner work' to do and that they obviously don't believe in themselves very much. If that's you, you want a philosophy of and approach to marketing that feels genuinely good to all involved and that lets you sleep easy at night.
NEED #2: BIG PICTURE - "Where do I start?" is one of the most common questions I hear. And there is an answer to that. This is not hard to figure out if you have the right map. It's possible to locate, fairly precisely, where you are in your marketing journey and exactly what you should be focused on right now.
NEED #3: SPACE - "I'm so overwhelmed..." Most entrepreneurs I meet are like an elastic band that's been stretched way too thin. They're about to snap. They're over-giving and under-charging. They're over-committed and under-resourced. One of the first things you may need to do is find a way to do less. You likely need to cut things out of your schedule, your life and your business that are draining you. If you're like this, then you need some breathing room before anything. Without that, you'll be stuck in reaction and never make any real progress. Progress requires strategy and strategy requires space.
NEED #4: MONEY - "I'm so broke right now..." So many entrepreneurs I know are barely scraping by. 54% of our members were making less than $10,000 USD each year from their business. NEED #6: THE RIGHT WORDS - "How do I describe my work? No one gets it!" - There's a good chance your business isn't easy to articulate. You have a few different modalities, some of them obscure. You're not exactly a coach but you can't find a better word people understand. You secretly suspect that if you could only find a way to put words to what you're offering, if people could just 'get' it, it would turn your financial world around. And that's true.

There's no catch but there's a overt, selfish agenda at play here. I'm hoping that, by the end of digging into the material in The Basics Tier, you'll know whether or not you feel called to move forwards. And I figure, if I can help you profit before you pay for the Fundamentals Tier (if that's a fit for you), if I can help you make the money to pay for the thing, then you'll be more likely to sign up.
Also, what you're getting in The Basics, as robust and worthwhile as it is, is absolutely only the tip of the iceberg of what's in my Fundamentals Tier. The Fundamentals is to the Basics Tier what the Basics Tier is to the Ethical Marketing Starter Kit. There's a lot for you in the Basics Tier but it's, still, only a high-level, 30,000' introduction to the nuts and bolts you'll go into for each and every one of the Seven Fundamentals.

FAQ: What if I don’t provide a service and my business is product-based?
While many of Tad's clients are service providers, there are also artists, musicians, and others making and selling products. The common thread is the desire to build socially conscious, sustainable, profitable businesses with ethics, beauty, and effectiveness. So although the content is focused on service providers, product-based businesses still stand to gain value from our membership in many ways.
How does selling a product and a service differ? Selling a product is, in some ways, easier. They can see and touch your product. But with a service, you're selling the invisible. It's ephemeral.
The setup is the same: your ideal clients are on Island A and they want to get to Island B. Your business (or products) are like a boat that can get them from one island to another.
The main difference is this: with a service your focus in marketing is on that journey from Island A to B. With a product, you're selling the boat itself. And so then your POV work is not about how to make the journey but, rather, about how such a boat should be made.
