Tad Hargrave – Your host and facilitator:

Tad is a hippy who developed a knack for marketing (and then learned how to be a hippy again.) For almost a decade, he has been touring his marketing workshops around Canada, bringing refreshing and unorthodox ideas to conscious entrepreneurs and green businesses that help them grow their organizations and businesses (without selling their souls).

He does improv comedy semi-professionally, co-runs Edmonton’s progressive community building network TheLocalGood.ca, founded treetcarshows.com, indigodrinks.ca, socialyogiyeg.com, and the Jams program of yesworld.org. He speaks Scottish Gaelic and helps to run novascotiagaelsjam.com and is also a huge Doctor Who nerd.

Tad currently lives in Edmonton, Alberta (traditionally known, in the local indigenous language of the Cree, as Amiskwaciy (Beaver Hill) and later Amiskwaciwaskihegan (Beaver Hill House) and his ancestors come primarily from Scotland with some from the Ukraine as well. He is drawn to conversations around politics, history, ancestry, healing and how those all intersect.

You can learn more about Tad and his work at marketingforhippies.com and nichingspiral.com

Trista Davis was born into and raised by a family of entrepreneurs. Seeing what being in business was like from a young age Trista started her first brick and mortar business at the age of 16. She went to school on the weekends and with a $1000 loan from her uncle she opened a small nail salon in there little town of Morinville. It wasn’t long before Trista figured out that doing nails was not for her however, business was. After a few years of various jobs, direct sales, a ton of training, formal schooling, and even some network marketing, Trista figured out that it had to be something that was all her own. In 2009 she opened a weight loss clinic and since then her business has always been growing and evolving in to what it is today. Today Trista owns a weight loss clinic, a niche Yoga studio and a retreat company. Trista feels very fortunate to have the ability to live her passion everyday, through helping people to uncover more of who they are. Trista has many retreats coming up locally and in Mexico and continues to manage the day to day operations of the studio as well as see clients, Trista currently resides in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Jesse Selkirk: Sleepwreck is the sound of cyborgs dancing around a ritual bonfire. As primal as it is forward reaching, as organic as it is technological, this Music is electronic and it is alive. Not lending itself to simple genre classification, Sleepwreck’s sound ranges from lush atmospheric textures, to hard hitting syncopated grooves, from heavy melodic basslines to otherworldly vocal melodies. In the studio he crafts shoe-gazing, emotional downtempo one minute and whomping tribal dance music the next. When taking to the stage he dons a face-painted alter-ego and highlights real-world instruments and voice against his phat, clean production. No matter where you hear him, at home on your headphones or putting your nearest PA system through it’s paces, Sleepwreck’s honesty, passion, and enthusiasm are intense and infectious. Having performed at festivals large and small around Western Canada alongside artists such as Phutureprimitive and Eskmo, and with his newest offering “Hypersigil Megaprayer” set to drop in spring of 2018, Sleepwreck has established himself as one of the most exciting up and coming artists in the lauded Western Canadian electronic scene.

Steven Wiig: Prairie-born, world-lived. I found Permaculture in 2011, it has been my guide ever since. Now, after 10 years away and back in a land devoid of much sustainable anything, I am attempting to popularize sustainable design and techniques in the landscaping industry and make it so functional, productive, and beautiful that it naturally becomes the new normal! Then move onto acreages and farms, help transform the monocrop prairies back into functional and productive spaces with vibrant rural communities. That is all 🙂

Sheena Witter: Wisdom and Compassion are who I am on a Soul level and the energy I try to bring to the world. Over the years this has taken many forms – teacher of creativity, mentor for at-risk youth, non-profit manager, entrepreneur, business development consultant, Mastermind facilitator. The isolation I experienced being both an Empath and an Entrepreneur had me searching for connection, community, meaning. I found this in soul work.

In my heart, I’m an alchemist. I love meeting people where they are at and helping them discover possibilities they never dreamed of. Introducing someone to who they are on soul level is one of my greatest joys. Seeing the pieces fall into place, seeing the shifts that occur when people become aligned with who they are on a soul level is magical.
