When you have these 3 elements working together: a profitable business model, heart-centred systems, and a team of helpers you love, then your business can finally be fun and fly at whatever level you are hoping for it.

How do you make money from blogging? It’s a good question. I’ve been writing a blog on marketing for over a decade. I’ve written over 500 blog posts. I can safely say that my blog posts have been, and will continue to be, a core part of my marketing strategy. But it’s a topic I’ve only ever taught on once, for my colleague Bill Baren. I imagine I won’t be teaching on it again for a long time, which is why I was so excited when I got an email from my friend Danny Iny of Firepole Marketing telling me about the report he released the other day on how to make money blogging. How to Write a Lovable Home Page Your Clients Will Love

Your homepage is the part of your website that is absolutely, no questions, no debating it – the most vital part of your website. It’s the first thing people see and it makes or breaks you website. Full stop. Period. End of discussion. Any marketing consultant would agree with me on this. You’ve got about three seconds to win them over. Three seconds before they decide ‘this isn’t relevant to me’ or before they break out in a huge smile because they finally found something just perfect for them.

You want a homepage that is clear, loveable, honest, warm and compelling. You want a homepage that you love and are so excited to share with the people you meet. You want a homepage that your ideal clients land on and it’s as if they walked up to your home and you opened the door and said, ‘It’s you! Bye Bye Boring Bio

We live in a day and age where people are more skeptical than ever about advertising, marketing and business. Cynicism is rampant. Dealing with faceless corporations in the age of facebook is losing its luster. In the age of social media – relationships matter more than they ever have. People are no longer buying from ‘companies’ they are buying from ‘people’. And the beginning of the relationship is them being clear about who you are and what you’re all about.

Relationships matter. So does authenticity. People smell bullshit faster than ever before. And attention spans are shorter than they’ve ever been. To sum it up: we live in an age of A.D.D. cynics.
