Why Create A Starter Kit?
While this might seem obvious, a few brief thoughts. Every solid starter kit gives people a good sense of three things:
1. Your Vibe – a taste of who you are
2. The Context – just enough (and a wee bit more) to know if they are a fit and to understand the deeper reasons why they are stuck – their blindspots.
3. Momentum – Your Starter Kit provides hope and direction and gives them some tiny steps so they can start taking action.
Having my Ethical Marketing Starter Kit has been key to building trust with people who join my email list, and to growing the list itself.
It allows me to introduce people to the heart of my work in a pressure-free, non-overwhelming way.
Which means that people who are on my email list are more likely to buy my eBooks and webinars and take the leap and join my membership.
I’ve got so much to say about how important it is to set up your Starter Kit in a way that is ethical, easy for them (not overwhelming), and delivers some (free) effective solutions to their problems.
The Starter Kit likely isn’t where you make money (though there’s a way to make money on it too). It’s where you filter and, if they feel like it’s a fit, they can take the next step.
That’s how you build trust.
